Client Works

Software, hardware, and consultation work to fund our lab works until they are self-sustainable.

ordergate

A cloud-based ERP software for an industrial refrigerators and cooling systems manufacturer.

Starting Point

The company approached us when they became the sole refrigerator provider for a leading supermarket chain that opens thousands of new stores yearly.

They needed a system that could manage orders, production planning, and after-sales services from a single point.

Our Work

We started by working closely with the company’s executives and managers to collect comprehensive requirements and outline the project plan. Next, we crafted a custom software architecture tailored to the company’s unique needs, developing everything from scratch without using any off-the-shelf solutions. We managed the backend, frontend, testing, database administration, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration across the entire system.

The company was highly satisfied with the application and saw its potential for broader use. As a result, they expressed interest in expanding the solution into a comprehensive ERP system, allowing for even greater integration and efficiency across their operations.

We extended the application by developing modules for HR, product management, sales, purchasing, production, stock management, logistics, after-sales services, and finance. Additionally, we incorporated a group company feature, enabling the system to manage and integrate multiple companies within a corporate group under one unified platform.

As a result, the company was able to successfully manage its operations with greater efficiency and precision, while also meeting its responsibilities across various departments. The comprehensive ERP system streamlined workflows, improved data visibility, and enhanced overall decision-making, ensuring the company could scale and operate more effectively.

ordergate IoT Machine

An IoT machine integrated with a cloud-based ERP software, ordergate, designed to operate on manufacturing lines for an industrial refrigerators and cooling systems manufacturer.

Starting Point

Following the successful implementation of ordergate, the company approached us again to gain deeper visibility into their manufacturing productivity.

They needed a system that would provide real-time insights into 1) production efficiency, 2) visibility, and 3) employee productivity.

Our Work

We began by carefully planning the architecture for the IoT machines, ensuring they would seamlessly integrate into the production environment. After the design phase, we engineered the circuits and produced 30 IoT machines to be deployed across the production line.

Each machine was installed at a specific work unit, equipped with an RFID card reader to log operator activity, a barcode scanner to track product movements, and a display screen to show real-time production data.

The machines communicated directly with the ordergate ERP system, providing enhanced visibility and traceability throughout the manufacturing process, ultimately improving operational efficiency and product tracking.

WhatMayBe

A personal health assistant platform featuring an AI-powered symptom checker, text and video chat capabilities, integrated examination and prescription systems, health history tracking, and a health and nutrition blog for a healthcare startup.

Starting Point

The founder, a well-known professor in their field, had made several attempts to bring the idea to life through collaborations with various universities and software engineering professors.

After many years of unsuccessful attempts, they reached out to us with the hope that we could finally bring their vision to life.

Our Work

We began by fully understanding the founder’s vision and breaking down the idea into clear features. From there, we designed the software architecture with future scalability in mind.

The platform allows users to select body parts and symptoms they are experiencing, then asks for additional accompanying symptoms. Based on the input, the system provides possible diagnoses with probability scores, lists relevant medical specialties, and offers detailed explanations about each condition. In addition to quick triage, users can consult with a doctor specializing in the identified areas via video chat. The system also allows doctors to enter examination notes, which can be shared with other specialists when a consultation is required. It’s integrated with pharmacy systems, enabling doctors to prescribe medications directly, while also giving users access to detailed information about their prescriptions. Moreover, the platform includes a health and nutrition blog aimed at educating and assisting users in maintaining their well-being.

The project concluded successfully with the development of an API, a web application, and a mobile application. We provided end-to-end support, guiding the client from the initial concept to the fully realized platform. Additionally, we participated in meetings to help the client establish the technical foundations of the platform in collaboration with a world-leading insurance brokerage and a major healthcare company.

beije

beije.co

A subscription-based e-commerce platform for a direct-to-consumer menstrual products brand.

Starting Point

The company approached us after running their MVP, which was built by the founder.

They were looking to expand their application to attract new users, automate workflows for scaling, and build a robust infrastructure to attract early-stage investment.

Our Work

We began by collaborating closely with the company’s founder to gather detailed requirements and plan the project. From there, we designed a custom software architecture tailored specifically to the company’s needs, building everything from the ground up without relying on any pre-made solutions. We handled the backend, frontend, testing, database management, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring every aspect of the system was well-integrated. On the backend, we used our own framework, Cell, for the first time in a real-world project. We also handled the migration of existing data into the new system.

The application was designed for both the company’s clients and employees, automating all key operational processes, including packaging, invoicing, shipment, and customer relationship management.

Attention to detail was paramount throughout the development process. For instance, the system offered gradual discounts on bulk purchases, and when refunds were processed, it recalculated the original order price to prevent any misuse of the discount.

After launch, we provided continuous support and maintenance to ensure the application ran smoothly and met the company’s evolving needs.

As a result, the company increased its user base, boosted productivity through automation, and successfully raised funds from the global venture capital firm, Global Founders Capital.

Throughout the process, we developed a lasting relationship with the company's founder, built on trust and collaboration.

Karat

karat.com

The world's leading technical interviewing platform, based in Seattle.

Starting Point

We applied to collaborate in conducting technical interviews and successfully passed their rigorous selection process, demonstrating our expertise and capability.

Our Work

We conducted numerous technical interviews, providing thorough assessments of candidates' skills with precision and professionalism.

Our role required a deep understanding of the technical landscape, allowing us to evaluate candidates in real-time problem-solving, coding challenges, and system design with a high level of accuracy and insight.

Springboard

www.springboard.com

The world’s leading online education platform, based in Silicon Valley, providing comprehensive, mentor-guided courses designed to help students excel in high-demand careers such as data science, software engineering, and UI/UX.

Starting Point

We applied to collaborate as mentors for students, with a long-term goal of expanding collaborations by making major contributions to the platform’s success.

Our Work

We began by mentoring students during the company’s launch of its B2B segment. Our scope quickly expanded to include the B2C and B2U (university partnerships) segments alongside B2B.

Thanks to our impactful contributions, our role was extended to include providing technical assistance to students in the B2B segment. Following this, we expanded our support to the B2C and B2U segments, and eventually became the sole provider of technical assistance in B2B.

After successfully managing both responsibilities, and as we continued to gain trust, we began assisting with office hours and mock interview sessions, taking on a wider range of responsibilities and excelling in each.

Our consistent performance led to a pivotal new collaboration in learning experience design. Starting with smaller tasks, we soon took over maintaining and refining Springboard's flagship Software Engineering Career Track, becoming the lead subject matter expert for all software engineering courses.

The collaboration concluded with a full-scale revamp of the software engineering curriculum across the B2C, B2B, and B2U segments, including the creation of new projects, hands-on exercises, and a more effective curriculum design that significantly elevated the student learning experience. We left behind a modern, streamlined course that resolved all previously defined pain points and bottlenecks, ensuring no need for further adjustments for a considerable time.
